Condition reports can be useful for both insurance purposes and pre-purchase inspections.
Condition reports require the boat to be lifted out of the water for an inspection of the hull and all underwater gear. They provide a comprehensive account of the condition of the vessel, covering all aspects including:
Hull and keel condition
Steering gear, shaft and propellers
Skin fittings and sea cocks
Safety equipment (fire extinguishers etc.)
Fuel tank and pipework
Electrics and wiring
Gas system and pipework
Overall internal condition
Please note that marine condition reports are not the same as a full marine survey, please consult your insurance company with regards to their acceptability before undertaking.
